Cookie Policy

Cookies are small pieces of text a website stores in your browser so it can remember something between visits — most commonly, that you are signed in.

Examples of cookies used by Parklan Palooza features include:

• Google Analytics cookies (names beginning with _ga) — load only after you choose Accept analytics on our public website. They help measure public-page visits and sessions. Our Google Analytics tag excludes private account, chat, game, and invitation pages. Use Analytics preferences on public pages to withdraw consent. Your choice is saved in local storage.
• Sign-in session cookies (names beginning with sb-) — set by our authentication provider, Supabase, when you sign in. They keep you signed in as you move between pages. Essential; without them the site cannot know who you are.
• last_space_slug — remembers the last server you were in, so links and integrations open the right one.
• sidebar_state — remembers whether you left the sidebar open or closed.
• gv_uid and gv_name — set when you play the game, so it can greet you by your display name and keep your player identity for up to 14 days.

Some preferences are kept in your browser's local storage instead of cookies. The site can read that storage to restore your choices and provide its features. Examples include:

• Your light-or-dark theme choice
• Which chat room you had open in the Command Center
• Your recently used emoji in the emoji picker

Some pages embed players from other companies — for example Twitch streams and YouTube Music. When an embedded player loads, that company may set its own cookies from its own domain, governed by its own cookie policy, not this one. We do not control those cookies. If you connect a third-party account such as Spotify, that service handles its own sign-in on its own site, with its own cookies. When website ads are enabled, Google AdSense may use cookies and similar storage on selected pages for eligible adult members with free accounts. Our paid members and minors do not load the website ad code.

Website ad requests are configured as non-personalized. Google says non-personalized ads can still use cookies for frequency limits, aggregated reporting, and protection against fraud and abuse. The Google ad tag receives browser and page information when it loads. We do not send direct messages or payment details to Google for ad targeting. See our Privacy Policy and Google's advertising information.

For visitors in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland, Google's published consent message presents choices about advertising data and storage when applicable. The ads shown and storage used depend on those choices and Google's supported ad serving options. You can change a previous choice using the "Privacy and cookie settings" link when Google displays it.

You can clear or block cookies in your browser's settings at any time. Signing out ends your session. Because sign-in storage is essential, blocking it may prevent you from staying signed in to Parklan Palooza. If an advertising consent message appears, use its options to make your choice.
